A man who was reportedly struggling with problems in his love life decided to end his life by hanging himself. Before he attempted this, he broadcast live on Facebook and talked about a girl he loved very much over drinks. He then stood on a chair and tried to hang himself, but the police intervened just in time to save him.

The incident took place on November 23 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. When the man shared the live broadcast on a social media application, one of his friends who joined it immediately notified the cyber cell. Superintendent of Police Dinesh Sharma swung into action and went through his social media profile to collect information about him. Sharma traced the man’s phone number and location, and after carefully examining the background on the live video, he contacted three nearby hotels in Jaipur’s Shyam Nagar area.

When one of the hotels confirmed the man’s stay, Sharma informed Shyama Nagar SHO Dalbeer Singh about the situation. Police were dispatched to the hotel and in the meantime, hotel staff were ordered to break down the door to the man’s room to prevent a tragedy.
