Woman dies after hitting deer after being rear-ended by another vehicle in Dayton

A woman died in a crash in Dayton just before 5:30 Sunday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to an accident report, a 60-year-old woman hit a deer in a Ford Escape and was stopped in the center lane of eastbound I-94 near Brockton Lane.

Then her vehicle was hit by a 32-year-old driving a Mazda CX-5.

A 60-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Mazda driver was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
