8-year-old girl and man seriously injured in double shooting in west London – police appeal for information

An eight-year-old girl and a man were seriously injured in a shooting in west London on Sunday.

Police are appealing for help and information after being called to Southern Row in Ladbroke Grove, Kensington, just after 5.30pm to reports of a shooting.

A 34-year-old man and an 8-year-old girl were taken to hospital. The girl’s condition is currently stable.

A 32-year-old woman was also admitted to hospital as a preventive measure.

Chief Superintendent Owen Renowden, responsible for Kensington and Chelsea Police, said: “This is a terrifying incident which has left two people seriously injured, including a young girl who is thankfully in a stable condition this morning.

“I am appealing to the public who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting.

“Did you hear any gunshots around 5:30 last night? Did you see anyone running from the area? We would like to hear from anyone who may have any information about this incident. Your information is important, no matter how insignificant it may seem.”

An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
