The incident occurred just after 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 19 at a home near W. 97th Street and Reeder in Overland Park, according to Overland Park Police Officer John Lacy.

The victim did not know the suspect, but was able to describe him as a stocky, clean-shaven man in his late twenties to early thirties. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and a black beanie-like hat.

Emergency medical services transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
