Ric Flair is mourning the death of his stepson Sebastian Kidder after the 24-year-old committed suicide on Saturday.

His mother, Wendy Barlow, confirmed the tragic news to TMZ and told the website that the family is “devastated” by their son’s death.

“I am devastated and shocked. This is an epidemic among your young men. And mental health,” Barlow said.

Police are currently investigating Kidder’s death from a gunshot wound Saturday afternoon at the family’s Georgia home.

Flair has not made any public comments about Kidder’s death.

Kidder is Barlow’s son and her previous partner, whom she was with before marrying the WWE legend in 2018.

According to TMZ, which took place almost a decade and a half ago, Flair was a part of Kidder’s life before his mother married the professional wrestler.

Last month, Flair announced he and Barlow they were breaking up.

Kidder was a musician and released his first album titled “Under the Moon” earlier this year.

As part of the promotional round for the album’s release, Kidder appeared on “Good Day Atlanta” where he discussed the inspiration for the album.

“(The inspiration for the album was) a lot of pain, a lot of suffering, a lot of crying in the corner and just hoping that these words would fall out of use. No, I’m kidding,” Kidder said. according to US Weekly.. “It’s actually very romantic and (that) is probably the core of the album. There’s a lot of sexual energy (and) there’s a lot of desire in it, so it’s something people can definitely relate to.”

During the interview, Kidder also explained that Flair gave him “a lot of advice.”

Unfortunately, Kidder’s death isn’t Flair’s first child loss.

His son Reid Flair died at the age of 25 in March 2013 of a drug overdose after being found in a Charlotte hotel room.
