SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – South Burlington police say they have arrested a man who tried to hit a stranger with his car.

Officers were called to a disturbance on Tilley Drive at around 8.15am on Sunday

They say they determined that 27-year-old Nathanial Bonna, after an argument, tried to hit a woman who was walking in the neighborhood with her car. Investigators say Bonna hit a tree, then chased the woman on foot, and when she tried to call for help, she pushed her and grabbed her cell phone.

Police say Bonna and the woman did not know each other.

Bonnie faces charges including aggravated assault and robbery.

He was released on parole and a hearing is scheduled for Monday.
