Police identify victim, continue searching for 2 suspects after fatal hit-and-run

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Police in Kansas City, Missouri, have identified the driver who was killed in a hit-and-run crash early last week.

Just before 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, Kansas City Police responded to a report of a fatal hit-and-run on southbound Highway 71 and 59th Street.

The initial investigation revealed that a silver Chevy Cruz was traveling southbound on Highway 71 when it rear-ended a gray Chrysler 200 that was stopped at a red light at 71 59th Street.

The unfastened driver of the Chrysler died on the spot. On November 25, he was identified as 44-year-old Terrell A. Williams. His passenger was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The driver and rear seat passenger of the Chevrolet fled the scene of the accident and have not yet been found. The investigation is ongoing.
