Body of man found in Pine Creek identified; police are asking the public for help in the investigation

Calgary police are asking for the public’s help in investigating the death of a man in Pine Creek late last week.

Louis “Trace” Shotbothsides, 26, was found dead at a home at 100 Creekstone Drive SW around 2:40 a.m. on November 22.

The first call concerned a person in a difficult health situation.

An autopsy was completed the same day, but Shotbothsides’ cause of death remained “undetermined.”

As a result, the incident remains classified as suspicious.

“We still have many unanswered questions and we are reaching out to the public for help,” said Sgt. Sean Gregson said in a release Monday.

“We have spoken to the victim’s family and are determined to find answers for her.”

Anyone who had contact with Shotbothside before his death is asked to contact police.

Anyone who was in the area at that time and has information or footage from car cameras is asked to contact the police.

Police can be reached at 403-266-1234.

Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
