One was arrested on kidnapping and aggravated assault charges, according to APD

ALEXANDRIA, LA (KALB) – The Alexandria Police Department reported that one person was arrested on October 26 on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping, domestic battery and assault with a firearm.

Authorities said they responded to an incident involving an alleged kidnapping and assault around 9:40 a.m. Saturday.

They said Kemo Nelson forcibly took the victim to a motel in Alexandria.

According to reports, the victim was hit and beaten with an object during the clash, but refused medical treatment.

Detectives began investigating and obtained a warrant for Nelson’s arrest. APD said the Crime Suppression Team acted quickly, located Nelson and immediately arrested them.

The investigation remains ongoing.
