Omaha police have identified the teenager who died in a crash on West Dodge Road

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha Police have identified a teenager died in an accident Saturday night.

In a statement Monday, police identified the victim as 14-year-old Keefer Kearns.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

According to an OPD statement, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near 156th Street and West Dodge Road on Saturday just before 7 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found Kearns near the 156th Street exit ramp and immediately began life-saving measures.

The boy was taken to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital, where Kearns died.
