Due to the singer’s death, Liam Payne’s Netflix series “Building the Band” has reportedly been suspended.

According to reports, Liam Payne’s upcoming Netflix series ‘Building the Band’ has been put on hold following the singer’s tragic death.

“Netflix will meet with Liam’s family when the time is right to discuss the series and when it might air,” source told the US Sun on Sunday.

“There is no rush or pressure to launch the series. It would just be a beautiful tribute to Liam and capture him at his best in the months before his death.

Payne was a mentor on the British competition series alongside Pussycat Dolls alum Nicole Scherzinger and Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland. The host was AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys.

Filming finished in August at Aviva Studios in Manchester.

While it’s unclear when the series will air, “the series definitely hasn’t been shelved,” the source added.

Netflix representatives were not immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Payne died in Buenos Aires, Argentina, October 16 after falling from the balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel. He was 31 years old.

An eyewitness claims it was the “Strip That Down” singer. “passed out” in the hotel lobby shortly before his fatal fall.

A partial autopsy revealed cocaine, crack cocaine and benzodiazepine were in Payne’s system when he died.

Scherzinger was one of the last people to have contact with Payne before his death, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber said last week.

“I guess something that hasn’t been said, and I think I can say, is that she was obviously a mentor to Liam from One Direction,” Webber told Billboard while discussing Scherzinger’s Broadway debut in “Sunset Blvd.”

“On the Wednesday when he died, she was dead I texted him that day.

Scherzinger first met Payne when she was a judge on “The X Factor UK” in 2011.

She was partially responsible for connecting with his One Direction bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan.

“Don’t Cha” singer. mourned Payne with a heartfelt tribute posted on Instagram on Friday.

“Dear Liam, I will always cherish and treasure the time we spent together, from fifteen years ago when One Direction was born, to just a few weeks ago,” Scherzinger wrote.

“We shared the same love and passion for music and I will always remember the important and joyful conversations we had,” she added.

Scherzinger also described Payne as a “joy” and “light”.
