Three men died in the Indian city of Bareilly after Google Maps told them to drive off a bridge under construction.

According to Hindustan Times, police officers in Dataganj, Uttar Pradesh, have arrested four engineers from the public works department and an unnamed Google Maps official in connection with the tragic deaths of three men whose car ran over an unfinished bridge over the weekend.

A severely damaged car was found on the riverbank, below the half-completed bridge, with three bodies inside.

The incident took place on the Bareilly-Budaun border when brothers Nitin and Ajit, 30, from Farrukhabad district, and Amit, 40, from Mainpuri district, were heading towards Bareilly from Noida to Bareilly to attend a wedding.
