A woman using the pseudonym Nalady on TikTokshared a video in which she thanks her son for his good behavior for four years and makes her proud.

She also promised that she would be there for him even after school.

“Michael, congratulations on completing Form 4, on good behavior over the past four years, and welcome to the outside world. Maria and I will be here to support you. Here’s your gift and I want you to open it,” she said, holding her son’s hands.

She then gave him a gift bag, initially teasing him that it contained a book to motivate and guide him through his many years of school.

Michael began to unwrap the gift and realized it was a new iPhone 13 Pro Max, not a book.

In the video, he can be seen moving back and forth in confusion, smiling, before warmly hugging his mother to thank her for the amazing gift.

“Thanks mom, of course I like it,” Nalada replied, pursing his lips in disbelief.

She then handed him his old phone, which he quickly put into his jacket pocket.

The uplifting clip has struck a chord with Kenyans online, with many of them comparing how they returned home after passing their national exams.
