Five people were taken to hospital after a collision between a truck and a car near Wadebridge

Five people were injured in a collision between a truck and a car near Wadebridge.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the incident was reported on the A389 at St Issey at 08:33 GMT.

The fire brigade said no one was trapped in the vehicles but five people were taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro “with broken bones but not life-threatening”.

It said firefighters from Padstow and Devon and Cornwall Police were at the scene and while an air ambulance attended, the victims were transported to hospital by land ambulance.
