Man injured in Lynchburg shooting

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – A man was injured Tuesday morning in Lynchburg, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired at 12:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of Old Forest Road, where a man was found with a gunshot wound to the arm.

According to the police, the perpetrator was located on site and arrested.

The victim was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and police say there is no threat to the community.

The identity of the shooter has not been released and the investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
