FBI agent previously acquitted in 2020 DC subway shooting charged with sexual assault

Eduardo Valdivia, a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two women after his acquittal in the Washington, D.C. subway shooting about four years ago, according to a report citing police and court records.

Valdivia has been suspended by the office due to an ongoing police investigation in Montgomery County, Maryland.

He was previously acquitted of attempted murder charges in the shooting death of a man on a subway near Washington, D.C. in 2020, according to WUSA.

“The FBI takes allegations of criminal violations and misconduct very seriously. We are aware of the recent arrest of an FBI employee and are fully cooperating with the Montgomery County Police Department. Because the investigation is ongoing, the FBI cannot provide further comment, the FBI said in a statement provided to WUSA.
