WWE legend Ric Flair’s stepson, Sebastian Kidder, dies by suicide at the age of 24

TMZ reports that the musician, the son of Flair’s former partner, Wendy Barlow, died on October 26 at the family home

Wrestling legend Ric FlairSebastian Kidder’s stepson has died. He was 24 years old.

On Sunday, October 27, Flair’s former partner and Kidder’s mother, Wendy Barlow, confirmed that TMZ that her son, an emerging musician, committed suicide on October 26.

“I am devastated and shocked,” Barlow told the website. “This is an epidemic concerning your young men and mental health.”

TMZ reported that Kidder died Saturday afternoon from a gunshot wound at the family’s home in Georgia. The police are currently investigating the matter, the portal added.

Kidder shared his last post on social media on Saturday, shortly before his death. In a set of shared photos Instagramhe could be seen holding a guitar as he sat in what appeared to be a recording studio, with purple lighting filling the room.

Flair, 75 years old former WWE star who was in a relationship with Barlow for over 13 years before they split in Septemberhe has not yet publicly commented on his stepson’s death.

Kidder was a musician and actor who released his debut album, Under the Moon, under the pseudonym Sebastian. He has also appeared in numerous television and film projects over the years, including independent films and guest starring roles on TV series The walking dead as a child.

I’m talking to Good morning Atlantain June, Kidder shared that as a child he was inspired by Aerosmith, Maroon 5 and Michael Jackson before he started writing his own music.

“I fell in love with it and here I am,” he said of his artistic pursuits… “I think it comes down to an exceptional work ethic. … You really have to have that motivation. I hate to say it, but that must be your only goal. You have to abandon everything else and make this your whole world.

Flair and Barlow They were honest about their support for Kidder. The WWE alum posted a clip of his stepson’s debut music video Instagram when it was released in June, sharing their excitement for the new album.

“Congratulations @sebastianonthemic on releasing your first music video,” the wrestler wrote at the time.

Barlow shared a similar sentiment on his 24th birthday in July, writing with sincerity Instagram post: “I hope everyone will gift my son @sebastianonthemic music on his birthday .”

“I am so proud that he is following his dreams,” she wrote in part. “It’s not easy to open yourself to the world.”

Barlow is also the mother of three daughters, and Flair and ex-wife Leslie Goodman are also parents son David and daughter Megan. Flair also has a daughter, Charlotte, with ex-wife Elizabeth Harrell. He and Harrell are also the parents of their son Reid, who died in 2013.
