Two men were charged after seizing fentanyl and methamphetamine at a bus stop

SAN ANTONIO – Two men were arrested after a traffic stop led to the seizure of deadly fentanyl pills.

A man driving a white Dodge Charger was arrested on November 21, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. The driver initially identified himself as Deveion Spears, but upon further questioning, he identified himself as Antwon Samples. A check revealed that Mr. Samples had an outstanding criminal warrant for possession of marijuana. He was arrested.

A search of the vehicle revealed a firearm hidden in the passenger seat. As a result, Samples was charged with additional firearm possession charges and an outstanding arrest warrant.

Investigators obtained and executed a search warrant for an apartment located in the same block. During the search, officers seized 40 grams of methamphetamine, 55.8 grams of lethal fentanyl tablets, a digital scale, drug packaging and a 50-round drum magazine.

Tomanique Grant was arrested at the residence and transported to the Bexar County Jail. He faces charges of manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in an amount of 4-200 grams and manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance (fentanyl tablets) in an amount of 4-200 grams.
