Two people arrested after dog’s death in Page County

PAGE COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) – Two people in Page County are facing felony charges after a dog died from a gunshot wound.

November 22 Page County Sheriff’s Office was called to the area of Mill Run Road in Shenandoah to check the welfare of the dog.

The next day, 61-year-old Michael Clapper and 51-year-old Angela Darus were arrested for their alleged involvement. Clapper faces one count of animal cruelty and Darus is charged with conspiracy to commit animal cruelty

Both were released by the Magistrate and are awaiting court proceedings.
