WASHINGTON, November 27. /TASS/. The United States and a number of other countries are ready to step up efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, outgoing US President Joe Biden told reporters at the White House.

“In the coming days, the United States will once again engage with Turkey, Egypt, Qatar, Israel and other countries to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza,” he said.

In his opinion, a truce will be possible after the hostages are released and provided that Hamas members are not allowed to participate in the government in Gaza after the end of the conflict.
