A man has died from injuries after a truck collided with a horse and carriage

One person died as a result of injuries suffered during approx the horse and carriage he was riding in were hit by a truck.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred on November 15 around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Route 77 and Britton Run Road in Sparta Township.

A fatal car accident at home forces neighbors to take action on road safety

Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook identified the victim as Christ Byler, 61, of Centerville, Pennsylvania.

According to police, Byler was riding his horse through the intersection when a Ford F-150 passed and hit him.

Jamestown police are asking for information about a missing teenager

The truck driver was not injured, but Byler was taken to UPMC Hamot for treatment.

Cook added that Byler died on Saturday, November 23, as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.
