Woman and teenager seriously injured in crash near Wadebridge

A woman has suffered life-changing injuries and a teenager has been seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash near Wadebridge– the police said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a Mercedes car, a light goods vehicle (LGV) and another unidentified LGV were involved in a crash on the A389 near St Issey at around 08:25 GMT on Tuesday.

Police said the 30-year-old woman, driver of the Mercedes, was taken to hospital and a young girl, a passenger in the same vehicle, was taken to Royal Hospital Cornwall and then to Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Police said the driver of an unidentified white LGV left the scene before emergency services arrived.
