The Israeli army strikes dozens of Hamas targets in the northern Gaza Strip – World

TEL AVIV, November 27. /TASS/. The Israel Air Force (IAF) and Israeli artillery struck dozens of military facilities belonging to the Palestinian radical movement Hamas near Jabaliya and Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

Among other things, weapons depots, military structures and “significant terrorist infrastructure facilities” were attacked, using intelligence data “collected during interrogations of terrorists detained in the area,” the IDF said.

In addition, the IAF struck and eliminated Morad Rajoub in Gaza City, who was involved in a bombing attack in the city of Beersheva in May 2002, the Israeli military added.

The situation in the Middle East escalated dramatically when, on October 7, 2023, armed supporters of Hamas from the Gaza Strip entered Israeli territory, killing residents of border settlements and kidnapping approximately 250 hostages. In response, Israel announced a complete blockade of Gaza and launched attacks on it and parts of Lebanon and Syria, before launching a ground operation in the Palestinian enclave. According to the latest Israeli data, 101 people remain in Hamas captivity in Gaza.
