Wanted man from Texas arrested in Spring Hill

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was arrested in Spring Hill on an outstanding warrant out of Texas, according to the Hendersonville Police Department (HPD).

HPD said they were notified of a person identified as 43-year-old Lin Jiang tampering with gift cards at a Publix store in Hendersonville.

Jiang’s car was identified by a license plate reader camera and information was passed on to nearby authorities. HPD said he was arrested a short time later by Spring Hill police for outstanding warrants out of Texas.

Police said many of the items confiscated by police were related to the fraud, suggesting that Jiang came from California to commit several similar crimes.

Jiang was charged with 10 counts of criminal simulation in Hendersonville. Further charges are pending.

“The Hendersonville Police Department would like to emphasize the importance of remaining vigilant when making purchases to avoid becoming a victim of fraud or other crime. Check your purchases, pay attention to your surroundings and find alternatives if you notice anything suspicious. As always, if you observe a crime or need assistance, please contact the police,” HPD advises.
