Omaha police arrest a sexual assault suspect, but there may be more victims

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Police said Wednesday that officers have arrested a man they believe is a suspect in a sexual assault that occurred earlier this month in north Omaha, but suspect there may be more victims.

Dash Lansdale, 21, is in custody after a woman said she was grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted while walking near 62nd and Maple streets.

“Witnesses observed the commotion and came to the aid of the victim. The suspect proceeded northwest on foot,” the report reads.

Police said Lansdale was arrested after receiving the report tip from the public through Omaha Crime Stoppers.

OPD says there may be more victims. Anyone with information about possible related assaults is asked to contact OPD’s Special Victims Unit at 402-444-5636.
