A middle-aged man collapsed at the guesthouse where he was staying in the Eastleigh area of ​​Nairobi.

The incident took place on Tuesday, November 26, at the Premier Guesthouse on Second Avenue, Eastleigh.

The man fell on the threshold and died.

When he was taken to hospital, he was bleeding from his mouth, and upon arrival, the doctor pronounced him dead. His body was taken to the City Morgue to await an autopsy.

The cause of death is not yet known. Police said they were investigating the incident.

Elsewhere in Ogembo, Kanyimbo sub-location of Kisii County, a 14-year-old boy drowned in a water-filled quarry.

The boy and his friends went to play in the swimming pool when he drowned on Tuesday, November 26.

Locals, with the help of local divers and the Kisii County Rescue Team, recovered the body and took it to the mortuary.

Meanwhile, police in Kirinyaga County are searching for a miraa driver who was involved in a road accident in which he hit and killed two children, aged 12 and 7, at Ngurubani, on the Mwea-Embu highway on Tuesday evening.

According to Mwea-east District Police Commissioner Mohammed Jarso, the accident occurred when a speeding Miraa vehicle heading towards Nairobi overtook another vehicle on spikes erected by the Kirinyaga County authorities to collect tolls and hit two children riding a motorcycle. .

Police reported that one boy died on the spot, the other died in hospital.
Residents say this is not the first accident on the Mwea-Embu highway as Miraa drivers ply with impunity, killing pedestrians and boda boda cyclists along the busy highway.

A 12-year-old boy, who was a student of Ngurubani Primary School, died on the spot, while a seven-year-old boy, who was a student of Thiba Primary School, died at Mwea Mission Hospital where he was taken.

The bodies are lying in a local morgue and police are investigating the incident.
