Kamala Harris calls Donald Trump’s protest in New York divisive

As we continue to listen to Trump’s speech, let’s step back for a moment and talk about why he’s holding a rally here in New York – in a safe state for Democrats that Trump will almost certainly lose on Election Day. In 2020, Biden was ahead of him by more than 50 points.

There are a few points to consider.

First of all, this is actually a fundraiser and Trump needs the cash. Harris’ campaign has raised more than $1 billion, so she doesn’t have to duck donors. Trump hasn’t done it yet, but today he’s selling tickets to the “Ultra Maga Experience” at Madison Square Garden for $1 million.

It’s unclear what you’ll get for these tickets, but selling them will certainly help Trump buy TV ads in the final days of the election.

Second, it helps other Republican Party candidates running for House of Representatives seats in New York. Republicans had great success here in several key swing districts, which likely helped them gain control of the House, which helped thwart Biden’s political efforts.

After all, this is where Trump comes from, Trump Tower is here and his entire personality is tied to this city. I don’t think he ever liked the way people in New York accepted him and his policies. It’s a good way for him to pat them on the nose.
