According to the Daily Mail, a Russian man died after a cat scratched his leg, which led to severe blood loss. The shocking incident took place on November 22. The victim, Dmitry Ukhin, has just been reunited with his pet Styopka, who went missing in the area a few days ago.

Ukhin put a lot of effort into finding the cat, which was eventually rescued from a nearby street. The 55-year-old brought Stiopcha home, and on the same evening she suddenly became aggressive and scratched the owner. According to a report by the Daily Mail, the man had several health problems. He suffered from diabetes and the blood clotting rate in his body was also quite poor due to high blood pressure.

These complications made the situation more critical as Ukhin was unable to stop the bleeding. As soon as Ukhin realized the seriousness of the wound, he turned to one of his neighbors for help. According to the police, around 11 p.m. his friend called the ambulance to report the incident.

“At around 11 p.m., a man called 112 and reported that his friend was bleeding from his leg due to a torn vein. The scratches on Dmitry’s leg were so severe that he died from blood loss,” a source close to the events said, according to the Daily Mail.

A neighbor gave Ukhin first aid, but it was not enough to stop the bleeding. When the medical team arrived at his home, the man was already dead. His wife Natalia was not there at the moment. According to her, Styopkha is a nice, harmless cat who loves to walk freely in the fresh air.

However, Natalia did not reveal anything about whether she would keep the pet. While Ukhin’s death is expected to be caused by persistent health problems and bleeding, forensic experts have yet to confirm this.
