Emergency services were called to a serious accident near Shrewsbury

The accident happened near Rowton, on the A458 between Shrewsbury and Halfway House, shortly before 6 p.m., which reportedly involved two vehicles.

Police, Shropshire Fire and Rescue ServiceAND West Midlands Ambulance Service everyone was sent to the site.

The latest fire brigade statement states that the incident involved a “head-on collision of two vehicles.”

She added that firefighters from two units helped a person trapped in one of the vehicles.

According to reports from residents on social media, the road was closed due to the incident.
