LSP says a Winnsboro man died in the crash

FRANKLIN PARISH, La. (KNOE) – Louisiana State Police say a Winnsboro man was killed in a crash on Sunday.

Troopers say a single-vehicle crash occurred Oct. 27 on Louisiana Highway 562 near Drane Loop and resulted in the death of 50-year-old Kevin Crain. LSP says a preliminary investigation revealed that the 1999 Infinity QX4 driven by Crain left the road and struck a tree. Troopers say Crain, who was not secured, died at the scene. LSP is investigating what could have led to the disaster.

Police are urging all drivers never to get behind the wheel when they are disabled, tired or distracted. LSP says drivers should obey all road traffic regulations and ensure that everyone in the vehicle has appropriate safety gear.
