Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday published a book by former student leader Shehla Rashid titled ‘Role Models – Inspiring Stories of Indian Muslim Achievements’.

“I published a book called Role Models – Inspiring Stories of Indian Muslim Achievements.” The book is written by J&K’s daughter @Shehla_Rashid,” Sinha wrote in a post on X.

Rashid, who hails from Srinagar, rose to fame during the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) agitation in Delhi when she led the protests along with Umar Khalid and Kanhaiya Kumar.

“She has done a great job of bringing together high achievers in her community to inspire today’s youth and future generations,” Sinha said.

“She is a much-admired scholar among Valley youth with her deep commitment to democratic values ​​and belief in nation-building. Shehla has also made a name for herself by engaging women and youth in bringing change in society. Congratulations and best wishes for her efforts,” LG added.
