Nigerians have expressed outrage after a video of Republican Party member Alex Ikwechegh surfaced online House of Representatives representing Aba North & South Federal Constituency, allegedly assaulting a Bolt driver.

Legit.ng We gathered that the driver arrived at the residence of the Maitama legislator in Abuja deliver a package where he encountered an incredible situation.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows the lawmaker allegedly berating and slapping the driver after he demanded that Ikwechegh go outside to pick up a delivery, The Punch reports.

The MP was heard saying:

“Do you know who I am? I can make this man (driver) disappear from all over Nigeria and nothing will happen. Can you imagine this rat? I will not give this boy one naira of my money.

“I will not give this boy a single naira of my money. I’ll tie you up, lay you down, and put you in my generator. Do you know where you are? Look at this monkey.”

Nigerians were furious at the legislator’s reaction

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation from Nigerians who see the legislator’s actions as an abuse of power.
