Dak Prescott: Cowboys loss to 49ers is ‘frustrating, but… No one is shocked’ | News, results, highlights, stats and gossip

Dallas Cowboys star Dak Prescott isn’t reaching for the panic button after the team dropped to 3-4 in Sunday’s 30-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

“We know what is needed in this league. You’re warmed up, you’re pumped up, that’s all you want,” he said he told reporters after the match. “Here’s my point of view: It’s frustrating, but no one gives up. No one is shocked, so to speak, from where we are. We just have to focus, get ready to go on the road and get another good team coming and we’ll do everything we can to win. And then worry after the next away game.

It’s true that, theoretically, the Cowboys could end their long winning streak, which would allay any concerns they’ve generated during their disappointing start. However, there is not much evidence to suggest that this happens.

Dallas had an extra week to prepare and gave up 469 yards to a 49ers offense that was missing quarterback Christian McCaffrey and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk. Wideout Deebo Samuel and tight end George Kittle have played at less than 100 percent since both played listed as questionable until game day.

Ezekiel Elliott and Dalvin Cook combined for 46 yards on 16 carries, while Prescott had two interceptions and averaged 6.4 yards passing on 38 attempts.

The longer this season goes on, the more inevitable conclusions are drawn about the Cowboys. This is an average team whose lack of offseason activity allowed them to overtake their NFC rivals.

Of course, the Cowboys losing is upsetting and imperfect.
But it doesn’t even hurt anymore. They destroyed it.
This team is so bad that caring about them has become an unnecessary part of it all.

The Cowboys finished the game with a solid game plan and plenty of fight. And he bought them 2.5 quarters before the wheels fell off
I think that’s an indictment on everyone. Trainers. Certainly the players’ performances. And creating a schedule at the reception.

Dallas typically doesn’t get this much exposure until the postseason. It’s just going to happen much earlier this year.

The problem with the Cowboys is that many of the problems they are currently having were predictable.

It was a strange decision to make head coach Mike McCarthy lame. No suitable replacement for leading tackler Tony Pollard was found and now the team has an NFL team worst attack rush. The passing game still relies too much on CeeDee Lamb. In hindsight, maybe we should have looked more closely at Dallas quite pedestrian run in defense.

Perhaps it was time for the Cowboys players to “shake it up” because they needed to do something to get over the shock.
