A man tried to commit suicide at GHMC Prajavani

Hyderabad: A Ramnagar resident on Monday attempted suicide in front of GHMC Prajavani Public Grievance Redressal Program officials, demanding the suspension of Musheerabad planning officials for allegedly taking bribes and conspiring against him. Anil Kumar said that he was supposed to get a share of his grandfather’s ancestral property, but his uncle is now allegedly illegally building a house on the plot. He said that he had filed a complaint in this regard with the city planning authorities and alleged that even after six months they had not responded and were acting against him.

Police officials and others present at the event immediately poured water on Anil Kumar and tried to take him away. Anil Kumar refused to budge and demanded suspension of the officials. Authorities later calmed him down, gathered details and assured him they would investigate the matter.
