WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair reflected on Sunday on the death of Sebastian Kidder, the son of his former partner Wendy Barlow.

“I spent hours wondering what to say,” Flair wrote on X. “After hearing the news of Sebastian’s death, I can only imagine what Wendy and Paul are going through, having lost a son around the same age in 2013. The pain of your loss will be with you for the rest of your life. I still think about Reid every day of my life, just as you will continue to think about Sebastian. You can’t blame yourself like I blamed myself for making Reid my best friend. About us being good parents. Sometimes we are so close to our children that we forget that they need us in so many different ways. I am so grateful for the time I spent with Sebastian, with whom I have so many wonderful memories and bonds with him as he grew up!”

Barlow confirmed TMZ Sports that 24-year-old Kidder died by suicide in the family home.

“I am devastated and shocked,” she said. “This is an epidemic among your young men. And mental health.”

Flair and Barlow got married in September 2018, although they had been seeing each other for years. Their history dates back to 1993, when Flair and Barlow worked for WCW.

Talent announced they were separated in September.

In his Sunday message, the 75-year-old referred to his youngest son, Reid, who died in 2013 at the age of 25.
