State Police say traffic delays, road closures in downtown Allentown and other roads are expected Tuesday evening Lehigh Valley Regional News

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police are telling drivers to expect traffic delays in downtown Allentown and other roads Tuesday evening when former President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at the PPL Center.

State Police are advising the public to anticipate traffic delays and intermittent road closures during the evening hours between 6 and 10 p.m., according to a press release from the State Police.

State police did not say why the roads would be closed, but Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at a rally at the PPL Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. 19:00. It was originally scheduled to take place at 6 p.m., but an hour later it was changed to 7 p.m

Traffic delays can be expected in the following areas:

• Airport Road in Hanover Township

• American Parkway in Allentown

• Throughout downtown Allentown

Traffic disruptions are expected to impact other roads throughout the region, state police said.

Trump and Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance are competing against Vice President Kamala Harris and Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz.
