Motorcyclist injured following police chase on Harrogate Road

A motorbike rider and passenger were injured when a bicycle collided with a car in Bradford

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a car during a police chase.

West Yorkshire Police said the motorcycle collided with a red Vauxhall Corsa on Harrogate Road, Bradford, at around 1:19 p.m. GMT.

Officers said the motorcycle was being followed because it had not stopped for officers earlier.

As a result of the collision, a second man, also traveling on a motorcycle, was seriously injured. No other injuries were reported.

A number of road closures have been put in place while the accident is investigated.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information about the incident is asked to contact the police.

The service said the matter had been reported to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
