Sihlangu Dlodlo is suspected of committing suicide

Many Zimbabweans suspect that Sihlangu Dlodlo committed suicide after his post published a week ago resurfaced on Facebook.

News broke this evening that Sihlangu Dlodlo was found dead in his home at Nketa 9. The Highlanders manager is said to have been found dead by his friends after he was last heard from on Saturday.

When his friend went to check if he was at his apartment, he received no answer when he knocked on the door. This alarmed him, so he looked out the bedroom window to see Sihlangu lifeless on his bed.

They broke down the door and discovered that he was already dead. Police took the body away so relatives could gather at the mortuary.

A recent Facebook post raises suspicions of suicide

As news of his death continues, a new post has appeared on Facebook. On October 16, Sihlangu Dlodlo took to his Facebook page to explain what he believed was the ideal way to die.

In his post, he announced that the ideal way to die would be to die alone in your home. He added that the body would be discovered a week later after it had decomposed following an infestation with houseflies. Dlodlo adds that neighbors should find the body and not know how to contact relatives.

He predicted that the police would have to come pick up the body in a metal box and leave it at the Kings and Queen Funeral Home. The body would have to be buried in Luveve Cemetery without anyone seeing it. He tells people not to bring flowers.

This post confirmed many people’s belief that the Highlanders FC CEO took his own life after his death, exactly as he explained, even though his body was discovered earlier than he had anticipated.
