Ballot box fires in Oregon, Washington are linked; police identified the suspect’s car

Local law enforcement said Monday that three separate ballot box arson incidents in Oregon and Washington are related and that they have identified a “suspicious vehicle” in the case.

Security camera footage from the Multnomah County Elections Office in Portland captured a Volvo stopping at a drop box just outside the county building early Monday morning, shortly before the fire was discovered. Police said the vehicle was a black or dark Volvo S-60. The front license plate is missing.
