Police say a bicyclist was killed in a collision with a semi-trailer in West Sacramento

A cyclist was killed Monday in a collision between a truck and a semi-trailer in West Sacramento. said the police.

According to a press release from the West Sacramento Police Department, officers were called just before 2:30 p.m. after a report of a traffic collision at Industrial and Stone boulevards on Portal Industrial’s north side.

According to the police, the motorcyclist, around twenty years old, died on the spot.

Police said the truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Investigators did not reveal the cause of the collision, but said the driver “did not show any symptoms indicating he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.”

The investigation is ongoing.
