Police are searching for a vehicle that struck and seriously injured two pedestrians in Needham

Two people were taken to a Boston hospital after a pedestrian was hit and killed on Monday evening.

According to Needham Police, officers who arrived at the intersection of Hunnewell Street and West Street around 7:12 p.m. were advised that two victims had been struck by a vehicle that was no longer on scene.

Both victims were transported to Beth Israel Boston with serious injuries.

Police say witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored Honda SUV or possibly a sedan.
