Officer-involved shooting in St. Paul, a person was injured

One person was injured after Monday’s officer-involved shooting in St. Paul.

Officers from St. Paul were called to Snelling Avenue North and University Avenue West around 8 p.m

Post office on X from the Police Station in St. Paul reports that the injured person was taken to Regions Hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown at this time.

The services claim that no officers were injured as a result of the shooting.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer captured crime scene tape and officers from St. Paul, Metro Transit and Roseville.

At the time of this publication, Route 21 was being detoured from Snelling Avenue between Shields Avenue and University Avenue and from University Avenue between Snelling Avenue and Simpson Street, according to a post on X from Metro Transit.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
