A man has been killed and three other people injured in a three-car crash on a major highway in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt.

A white Nissan Navara pickup truck was traveling west on the Great Eastern Highway at Meckering, about 130km east of Perth, when it collided with two white Toyota Hilux cars traveling east at about 10.25am on Monday, police said.

The 69-year-old driver of the Nissan died on the spot.

The drivers of the other vehicles, two men, aged 29 and 41, and a 23-year-old female passenger in the Nissan, were taken to Northam Hospital with minor injuries.
