A school bus was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Eaton County

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Three people, including no students, suffered minor injuries after a three-car crash in Eaton County Tuesday morning. A Dean Transportation school bus was involved in the accident, but there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident.

The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that a preliminary investigation indicates that a distracted driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of S Royston Rd and E Clinton Trail (M-50), causing the crash.

The three drivers of the vehicles involved in the incident were treated at the scene by emergency services for minor injuries. The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office and Eaton Rapids Township Fire & Rescue responded to the scene. M-50 was closed in both directions at Clinton Trail for about an hour Tuesday morning but has since reopened.
