1 charged with assault after reported stabbing – Lexington police investigate

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Lexington Police Department reports one person was arrested and charged with assault after a stabbing was reported near 3600 Appian Way Tuesday morning.

According to police, the initial call was received around 10:13 a.m. for a report of shots fired, but upon arrival they found that no shots had been fired and two neighbors were involved in the disturbance.

Police say one person suffered minor injuries in “what was reported as a stabbing,” but no one was transported from the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing.
