A student was taken to hospital and several others were hit by a falling tree at Pleasant Hill Elementary School

PLEASANT HILL, Mo. (KCTV) – A student was taken to the hospital after a tree fell and hit multiple students at Pleasant Hill Elementary School.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department in Missouri said emergency personnel responded to the school after a call about an accidental injury. The falling tree injured one of the students and required transport to hospital.

“Several others were assessed by the school’s emergency medical services and nursing staff,” he added reported the police department in a Facebook post sent Tuesday afternoon.

The incident is under investigation.
