Four people have been charged in connection with an assault that left a girl injured at Kempsville High School

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Three 18-year-old women and a 17-year-old girl have been charged in connection with an assault that injured a girl at Kempsville High School last Tuesday, police say.

Police say that on October 22, a school resource officer with the Virginia Beach Police Department was notified of a physical altercation that was taking place on school property. According to the police, a 17-year-old girl was injured during the altercation.

Police say a few days later, on October 25, four suspects were identified and arrested.

Police say the following women, all 18, are charged with conspiracy to trespass on school property and mob assault: Ashlynn James of Virginia Beach, Jalaaiyah Rucker of Norfolk and Kina Pass-Cutler of Norfolk. A 17-year-old girl was also charged.

Police added that three 18-year-olds were also charged with trespassing, while James and Rucker were charged with simple assault.

The police did not share information about the nature of the attack or the condition of the injured girl.
