However, when Anna Tollison paid $7.61 for a steak and cheese sandwich, she received significantly less meat than advertised.

In fact according to several photos included in the complaintThis fast food chain’s sandwiches are much more bread than filling.

Based on experience, Tollison believes the fast food giant’s ads are “grossly misleading.”

The lawsuit said the alleged misstatement “is particularly disturbing at this time when inflation, food and prices are very high.”

Tollison is seeking unspecified damages for New Yorkers who purchased Steak & Cheese sandwiches over the past three years.

Attorney Tollison said the case was “a blatant example of the type of advertising we are trying to stop.”

Similar lawsuits were filed against McDonald’s and Wendy’s but were dismissed, Reuters reported.

Subway has not commented on the lawsuit yet.
