A truck carrying beer loses its load

Gauteng traffic police say a light commercial vehicle overturned and lost its load of beer.

Drivers were also warned of delays caused by the closure of three lanes.

Gauteng traffic police spokesman Obed Sibasa said traffic in Centurion and Pretoria was severely disrupted, with drivers abandoning their vehicles to collect spilled alcohol.

Sibasa urged drivers to refrain from the practice and appealed to motorists traveling from Pretoria and Centurion to use the N14 or R21 roads as alternative routes.
