24-year-old man arrested on suspicion of raping young woman in Derry – The Irish News

The police detained a 24-year-old man in connection with the sexual assault of a young woman in Lublin Derry.

The incident took place in Bank Place in the city around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

The victim was a young woman in her teens.

A PSNI spokesman said a 24-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of rape and was in custody on Wednesday.

“Police continue to appeal for information in relation to this incident and are asking anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1303 of 26/10/24,” they added.
